Bird Talk
Feb 20 was cold with light snow but 12 novice and experienced birders took a Bird Walk around Smith Lake with Tom Bush, Audubon Master Birder. In one hour over 10 species of water fowl and birds were identified. Everyone agreed it was fun and informative and they were looking forward to the next bird walk in the spring.
The brave group agreed they would like to see a page on the FANS web site where people could post pictures of birds seen in the park. So here it is!
Submit your sighting and pictures and they will be added to the photo gallery. Go to Birds in Washington Park to see names and dates of sightings.
An interesting website of descriptions and pictures of waterfowl.
